Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you engage SJB Events Co for event planning, styling or coordination services. They sit alongside the specific booking agreement we issue for your event.

2. Enquiries & quotations

Enquiries submitted through this site are non-binding. We will respond with a tailored proposal and quotation. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

3. Bookings & retainers

A booking is confirmed once you have signed our booking agreement and paid the booking retainer. The retainer secures your date in our calendar and is non-refundable. The remaining balance is paid in milestones agreed in your booking schedule.

4. Changes by you

We will always do our best to accommodate changes to your event scope, date or guest count. Changes may affect pricing and timelines and will be confirmed in writing before they take effect.

5. Cancellation

If you cancel, your booking retainer is retained. Further fees may apply based on planning hours already invested and supplier commitments that cannot be recovered. We will always set these out transparently.

6. Suppliers

We curate and coordinate trusted suppliers on your behalf. Where you contract suppliers directly, those contracts sit between you and the supplier. We are not liable for failures by third-party suppliers but will work hard to resolve any issues that arise.

7. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or cancellations caused by events outside reasonable control, including extreme weather, illness, and government restrictions. In such cases we will work with you to reschedule or adapt your event wherever possible.

8. Liability

Our liability is limited to the total fees paid to us for your event. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Images

We may photograph our work for our portfolio and social media. If you would prefer your event not to be shared, let us know in writing before the event date.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
